Stupid Laws

So Andrea came over to my house and we were suppose to go shopping, YEA! My husband had the carseat inthe car he took to work, BOO! Fortunately for us though we had bought a new one because Quay was about to exceed the weight limit for his old one. So I break out the new one and start reading the instruction manual and it says he has to be a year old before he can use it because it is only front facing, WHAT! Seriously who made this law it is ridiculous. What does it matter if he is 5 months or 1 year so long as he meets the height and weight requirements. Andrea and I decided to wait until my husband got home to use the proper carseat. Tomorrow we are returning the one we got and buying a more expensive one that he can use from now until he no longer needs one. I think it is a retarded law though because a childs age has nothing to do with how safe a carseat will be for them in an accident. My son is the size of a 12month old and should be allowed to ride like a 12 month old.

$$$

Why does everything seem to break at the same time? My refrigerator quit working and my washer is busted. We went to sears to buy replacements, but have you priced fridges lately, HOLY CRAP, they are expensive unless you want a piece of junk. Anyway after looking at fridges and washing machines for 2 hours my husband decided he could fix the fridge and maybe the washer too. Well he did manage to fix the fridge, but when he went to repair the washer he decided it was too old to mess with, so I think I get to buy a new one. Mind you, new means, new to me, probably off of craigslist. So when I got home I realized we have like hardly any food in the house and I have 5 people to feed. We still had like 20 pieces of chicken from the last bbq so I got Lloyd to agree to make that, but the chicken was frozen, so we had to thaw it. Then in the middle of cooking it the propane tank ran out, ARGH. Try finding somewhere to refill a propane tank at 8:15 on a Sunday, it didn't happen, so we had to buy a new tank. Dinner finally got done 2 1/2 hours after we started. ( I should have bought Papa Murphy's) The food was delicious though chicken and cornbread, mmm mmm.

MS Walk and more

Today I did the MS walk with Andrea. I took my son in his stroller too. It was very chilly out but we had fun anyway. After that I helped Andrea go through all of her clothes and decide what needed gotten rid of. It may seem like I was helping her but she was helping me prepare for a similar job I am getting paid for on Wednesday. THAT'S RIGHT, I am actually getting paid for my services now. Word got around that I make all the clothing decisions for a few guys in town and now other people want to pay me to help them. It is the beginning of my stylist career. While I was at the walk my gardeners (Lloyd and Loren lol) were preparing my garden to have all sorts of nummy fruits, veggies, and herbs planted in them. I am excited for those to start growing. Well I have to go figure out what to feed my crew for dinner.

BBQ

Today we had a backyard bbq. Lloyd bar-b-qued chicken legs and thighs and I made potatoe salad. We all sat on the covered patio and enjoyed the sunny warm day. It was really nice. I love having my own house with a backyard. It is so much better to bbq here than when we lived in an apartment in Portland. I also went shopping with my best friend Andrea, which was nice since she is a busy girl and any time spent with her is great.

first time

Alright Sharlee here is my new blog! Quay is crying so I've gotta go. I will post something later mayber while he is napping.
